How to Calculate Mulch Needs

To calculate how much mulch you need:

  1. Measure the area: Determine the square footage of your bed (Length × Width).
  2. Decide depth: Standard application is 2-3 inches.
  3. Calculate volume: Area (sq ft) × Depth (ft) = Volume (cu ft).
  4. Convert: 27 cubic feet = 1 Cubic Yard.

Tip: Always buy 10% extra to account for uneven ground and compaction.
